I am thinking of buying a vacation property in the Phoenix area?

Where is the best place to buy, probably a condo in a gated community.
Cash waiting.
Where is the best area, we are looking for a condo in a gated community.
We live in Calgary Canada.
What are the pitfalls of buying property in the US.
We are not looking to rent it out.

Tempe and Scottsdale are popular places…but it all depends on what you are looking for. Do you want to be out in the suburbs, downtown, close to all the entertainment etc…… If you get something in East Phoenix, you can be in almost every surounding city within 20 minutes.
