Do you need to be in a foreign country to buy vacation homes in sims 3?

Posted on Feb 28, 2010 under vacation homes | 1 Comment

curious. and can teens buy them?

You have to be in the foreign country to buy houses. Use the phone and under travel youll find the buy home tool. You can then buy the house and will be prompted to select your default residence (between camp site/hotel or your house) I do not believe teens can buy the houses. Young adult and over.

Wanting to start a business that takes care of vacation homes while owners are out of town .?

Posted on Feb 26, 2010 under vacation homes | 1 Comment

This business would offer a total pkg. of services such as maid, lawn care, all repairs and maintenancece, catering, meeting bug inspectors, winterizing and reopening houses. No service would be to small.
Want to talk to someone that has done something like this before for input and guidelines. This would take place in a small resort town where I do have lots of contacts. Any help would be appreciated.

In theory this is a very easy type of business to set up since you would only be acting as broker. You likely would need to be bonded and have liability insurance and make sure all your subcontractors did as well. But the only service you omitted from your list would be the potential of renting out the vacation homes which you will likely need a real estate license to provide. The harder part would be marketing since all that have vacation homes usually have lots of money and relationships with other providers. I suggest you offer one service for free to secure the lawn maintenance (your likely best revenue source).

Can anyone recommend a good website for rental agencies to advertise their vacation homes?

Posted on Feb 24, 2010 under vacation homes | 2 Comments

According to me you should check out Best Bid Vacation Rentals. I have personally used their services for listing my vacation rental homes and properties. I must say that the services that they offered where the best with some the best pricing options. It also allowed to me reach a large number of vacationers search for vacation rentals online.
