I’m moving in a month across the country, and need to find a house before I move. I’ve looked on Craigslist, and called one realtor, but his list of houses for rent hasn’t changed much in the past 3-4 months, and nothing on the list fits my needs. Are there any other good websites you could recommend to me to find lists of houses for rent (not condos, townhouses, or apartments) in/near the Tampa Florida area? Thanks.

I’d try going to yahoo.com and typing all of those keywords into a search. This has worked for me on ALMOST all of my real estate documents (except one time).

For many years, I’ve vacationed in hotels, this year, my family and I will be renting a house for a week. In my family, I have myself, my husband, my two teenaged daughters, and my mother. The vacation house has three bedrooms, frig, oven, all that stuff. The owner of the house has said that I should pack sheets for the beds, and all paper products like toilet paper and napkins. He provides the plates, pots, cups, utencils. From your experience, is there anything else that I should remember to pack with us to make our vacation wonderful?
Don’t forget to pack the Jenga game…

And if you smoke, or drink alcohol (cigarettes, beer, wine, or whatever)
‘Nuf said about that…! (hide it from the teens, or it will mysteriously disappear)
And ice, if the fridge doesn’t have an ice maker…
Tunebox, laptop, cell phones, books, magazines, walking shoes, live-in Butler, portable T.V., (leave the in-laws and teenage boyfriends at home unless they’re the Butler, Maid, or personal valet) condoms, prescription medication (and lots of it), Nyquil, sleep aids, mosquito repellent (leave The Bible at home) inflatable swimming devices, cheese whiz (have I left anything out?) DVD’s, CD’s, the phone number of a trusted Psycho Therapist, ear-plugs (for your husband), blind-fold (for yourself), band-aids, Neosporin ointment, and the phone number to the Dr. Phil show…
Now you’re ready…
And remember…
When you get back…

I’ve done many google searches before, nothing useful ever shows up. The point of wanting to rent by the week is because I have yet to obtain a job and I’ll be moving that way in a few weeks. Apartments are pretty stedfast about tenets having a job before lettings them rent, and weekly /monthly rentals tend to stand out from the rest. (At least from my experience in Vegas)
I’m not too picky about quality — I don’t like roaches and I won’t stay in a building which has a lot of gangsters.
The Star Ledger will have them. There is a section on boarding houses.
You will most likely need the actual paper.Not sure how you could get it, maybe call the paper, or just post a question here and ask someone to send you a paper.

I rented a cottage in Normandy thru a UK Based firm. I have used them in the past with no problems. But now I am being laid off(Redundant – The CEO wants to make more money). The rental firm is telling me that I can get my money back by using my insurance? What do they mean by that? I am an American living in Germany so maybe I do not understand the ‘English’ terms correctly?
The ‘Cottage’ company keeps your entire rental fee when you cancel out. So if you happen to have paid more than the required deposit fee your ‘Bad Luck’. If you have their insurance(only for UK citizens) then you will get SOME of your rental fee back.
They must be talking about travel insurance. If you didn’t get any then that won’t help.
I have been thinking about Traveling outside of the U.S. this summer. I would really like to stay in London. I want something for like 2/3 months. I have never been outside of the U.S. before so, I am not sure which areas in London would be best. I want to take full advantage of my getaway.
