Vacation house rentals that allow pets?

Can anyone recommend a website or rental properties that allow pets?

I’m looking for a small house or cottage (1-2 BR) where I can get away for a few days, and would prefer to take the dogs with me. I live in the mid-Atlantic area– anywhere between NYC and DC is perfect.

The Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport, Maine has 2 or 3 rental houses in addition to the hotel rooms and dogs are welcomed in both. We just got back from our yearly trip and dogs still rule at The Colony.

How can I track recent real estate prices for vacation property in northern wisconsin?

Go online to any of the newspapers in that region (Eau Claire, Wausau, Superior, Hayward, Ashland, Minocqua, et cetera) and go into their classified section & look under "vacation/resort property." You could also find websites for realtors in that region and check their listings.

Where can I find a vacation beach rental house for Myrtle Beach, SC?

I am looking to go around spring break with a few friends. I tried to google search some places but it was just all overwhelming! If anyone can give me a lead or a good site to check out I would appreciate it!

Renting a house or a condo would be a great idea, and since there will be a group of your friends with you it shouldn’t cost too much as you can split the cost between you. There are a lot of choices for rentals in the South Carolina / Myrtle Beach area. I’m not sure how much you are looking to spend, so I would say that it’s best to do your homework and use online research to find available places to stay that fit within your budget.

Rather than give you a specific property name and location, I would suggest that you do some research on the available houses/condos, the prices and the locations. I have used justvr.com in the past and it was quite helpful for narrowing down my choices and booking a few nights stay.

I’ve just bought 4 new homes in France but I don’t know how to make the one I want my preferred base camp! The game uses my first house as the default base camp now, but it’s too inconvenient because it’s far from town.

You can’t choose until the next vacation. I know, it’s inconvenient.

Private Cabin rentals in Big Sur? Any direct recommendations, or realtors for a weekend rental?

Posted by admin on March 10th, 2010 and filed under cabin rentals | 2 Comments »

I’m looking for a fun vacation getaway spot for a weekend in march in Big Sur. I’d really like to find something special, a private cabin with maybe a hot tub, and killer views of the ocean. Do any of you know of any cabins in the area that fit the bill? Or any resources that might help?

There are several website that list cabin rentals in the Big Sur area. Understand that this type of property is by reservation only, and you will have to act fast to secure any available openings. Cabins with ocean views are considerably more expensive than ones back in the forest.

What is a good cottage rental i Williamsburg VA for a family of 4 with a mother-in law as well? 3/4 bedroom?

Posted by admin on March 10th, 2010 and filed under cottage rentals | 1 Comment »

3 or 4 bedroom is ideal and we are looking in the $1000 range for July 12-17/18.

Is that $1000 total or $1000 per night?

This site has great vacation homes and a lot of them are rented by the owner so you get a better deal http://www.homeaway.com/search/keywords:williamsburg%2C+va

Most of them are a little high, though, around $300 or more per night. This one is $250/night on weeknights and $325/night on weekend nights. So for your stay from Sunday-Saturday would be $1350 if it is considered 5 weeknights and one weekend night (Friday night). If you only stay until the 17th, that would omit your Friday night stay so it would be a flat $1000. You might want to try contacting them to see if you can work out a deal. It’s a beautiful house with a pool and 4 bedrooms. http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p239403

also try http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/usa/virginia#a4645 for more listings by owner. This is a 3 bedroom cottage near Williamsburg it says it is 6 minutes from Ferry. It is only $150/night or $695/week. You do have to rent the whole week I think so you would probably rent July 12-19. http://www.vrbo.com/108529

Powhatan Resort just minutes from Williamsburg. 3 bedroom townhouse with communal pool. It is $1000/week. http://www.vrbo.com/218440

Good Luck!

Do rental rates for apartments go up in the summer and down in the winter? If so, what months are best 2 move?

Posted by admin on March 10th, 2010 and filed under summer rentals | 2 Comments »

My lease @ my current apartment ends in August. I wanted to know does rental rates on apartments not houses typically go up during the summer and go down in the winter? If I could get an answer from someone who has worked or does work in property management that would be great!
I’m really looking for someone who has or is working in property management to answer this please. Also im looking for an apartment not a house.

Rental rates on residential apartments should always be the same. The only ones that change are short-term vacation rentals.
