We’re packing to move to Charleston, WV or somewhere near that area in about two months (we should be finished packing by then) what are some good sites to search for a job or a home to rent?
Oodle is pretty good on the home rentals. I keep running into apartments.
As far as jobs go, I graduated in Communications, are they’re any sites that are narrowed for media (tv, radio, public relations, ect) positions in West Virginia. I couldn’t find much with google.
thanks in advance
Craigslist. Follow this link.

this renter is not happy with my vaction rental and wants a partial refund. I have already discounted the price two times. they have visited the property before and knew what they were getting and now claim it is not as advertised. what do I do?
You can cover yourself by going in person to the property before you accept their money. You can not conduct business via the Internet without having some problems.
How far away is this property from where you are currently living? If you did not meet them in person, how do you know that they are not telling the truth?
Why would you discount the property twice? It sounds like you are aware that the property is not up to pare for the money that you are charging. ARE YOU A SLUMLORD?
I hope that you had them signed a rental agreement, and it should have stated the current conditions of all rooms and equipment. If this is true, when you will have nothing to worry about.

We are trying to liven this room up. We are thinking of painting the room a bright blue. What can we do to make it more fun?
Thanks for your help.

Bright blue might be a bit too much, what about a shade
of ocean blue to coincide with the felt on the pool table.

Every year myself and my family take a trip to our beach house, about a 3 hour car drive. The luggage is about 50% linens (blankets sheets etc). Is there a way to pack more efficiently, or are there any linen rental places in Rhode Island that we can use to cut down on luggage?
Check out the bags that you hook up to a vacuum and suck the air out of them. That will compress the blankets and linens; of sleeping bag duffule bags you push the blankets in and then pull the cord tight – they will take up a lot less space, Or try sleeping bags – down bags are small and come with bags that you can fit the bags in, You can get bags that zip together.
Another option is take you old sheets and blankets and donatoed them on the day you leave at an animal shelter, or other shelter.
I need to have a website in order to run a DVD rentals business from home. How do I create a website???
Can somebody please help me in creating and hosting a DVD rentals website.
Hi! Creating a business web site is not like popping down the shops for a bag of crisps. Business sites are there to make money so they have to look good and perform well and if they looked the slightest bit shoddy, then they will fail. There is a lot more to web design and development than just all the the techi stuff. There is marketing and psychology to name but a few.
Before you launch your self headlong into this business venture there are a few things you should do.
1. Have you a business plan? These usually show projected figures over a 3 year period. These are not just done for the benefit of banks but are used by businesses as benchmarks to see if they are hitting their projections or not.
2. Have you done any market research? Is there a market for your service? Just because you think there is does not necessarily mean there is in fact one.
3.With reference back to the business plan – have you sat down and worked out how much all this is going to cost you? If not, then you should do it now and don’t miss out anything. Things like how are you going to package the DVD’s? How much will that cost? How much time will you need to spend packing them up – time is money! How much will itg cost to post them. How much will the stock cost you. I could go on but it is begining to sound like a marketing lecture.
With regards the site, you will have to pay someone who knows what they are doing for you will need a lot of back end stuff. Your site will have to look and feel the part otherwise you will be throwing your money away – don’t try and do it yourself in an attempt to save money – it wont. You have been given a lot of good advice in these answers – use it wisely.
Here is a tip – if you do your homework regarding your business plan and funding etc and you find that it is not viable – it takes a strong person to walk away from their dream, but don’t fall into the trap of thinking that despite of what the figures and market research tells you it will work anyway – too many businesses go down the toilet because a) they are underfunded & b) there is no market for their products or services.
Hope this helped you a bit and good luck!
Kind regards
Iain
My brother just got his pilots license, and lives across the country. As a graduation gift, I would like to pay for him to fly from Missouri to California to visit me. I can’t seem to find information online anywhere regarding a daily or weekly rental rate. I am hoping there is such a thing. . .
Different Fixed Based Operators (FBO’s) will have different rates for long term rentals. Most though will have at least some sort of minimum hour requirement per day. The previous answer that said 3 hours a day is probably pretty close. Also if your brother has never rented from them in the past he will have to have a check out from one of the FBO’s instructor which will add on to the price.
Try to find out some airports near by your brother and then do a search of those online. You should get some hits for FBO’s or flight schools at the airport by doing this. Then call them and ask for their rental rates as well as whether or not they do long term rentals. This is the only way you will find out whether or not what you want is possible.
While the other answers are correct that you will spend much more money this way than buying a commercial plane ticket, a long trip would be a good experience for your brother if he’s up to it. If he’s working on his next ratings, he may need to build time anyway. Good luck with everything.
